La Senorita
This petite 640mm scale guitar is constructed with the smaller hand in mind. A beautifully feminine guitar made with a European spruce soundboard, a Swiss pear and quilted cedar back and matching pear sides. The guitar is bound with cocobolo and a mix of quilted cedar, figured cherry and bloodwood bandings, the cedar neck has an ebony fingerboard and head plate. The bridge is rosewood with a traditional 6 hole tie block.
As with all guitars I make, the polished bone nut and saddle are compensated to make sure the equal temperament is as pleasing to the ear as is possible. The tuning machines are Waverly with black barrels and ebony buttons both perfectly complimenting the head plate and fingerboard. The rosette is my spinning motif in cedar, bloodwood and Swiss pear.
This guitar is a joy to play, the easy string tension and the spring to the string - that seems unique to guitars constructed according to the old traditions - make it hard to put down. The sound is sweet and mysterious with plenty power and beauty.
